Terry Lee Godwin

Terry Lee Godwin, age 72, of Jackson passed away Saturday, December 25, 2021, peacefully at his home after a battle with cancer. He was born Sept 12, 1949 in Cape Girardeau, the son of John E. and Lillian Probst Godwin. Terry was a graduate of Jackson Sr. High School. He entered the United States Air Force on October 12, 1967 and was honorably discharged June 11, 1971 after attaining the rank of Sergeant. Terry owned and operated G and K Drywall Company in Jackson for many years. He was an avid golfer and was an extremely nice person who was loved by all who knew him. He is survived by his significant other of over 30 years, Janet McGhee; four step children, 10 step grandchildren and 15 step great grandchildren; a sister, Brenda (Melvin) Holder; and a niece Heather. He was preceded in death by his parents In keeping with Terry's wishes there will be no service. Burial will be at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 30, 2021 with full military honors.
