Terry Lynn Jones

Terry Lynn Jones, age 61, passed away with his family at his side on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at his home in Jackson, MO.

On April, 16, 1965 in Kennett, MO he was born to the late Junior L. and Cleta Akers Jones.

As a man of Christian faith, Terry found strength and comfort in his beliefs throughout his life.

He married the love of his life Douglas Turner on September 23, 2017 in Cape Girardeau, MO.

Terry had been employed for the last thirty years for Mercy Healthcare Systems in Cape Girardeau as the Director of Patient Access.

Outside of work, Terry enjoyed decorating, creating floral arrangements, celebrating holidays, and finding ways to add beauty and creativity to everyday life. He had a keen eye for design and took great pride in making special occasions memorable.

Those who knew Terry will remember his strong personality, his dedication to the people, and causes he cared so deeply about, his creativity, and the many years he devoted to his work and loved ones.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Danny Lee Jones of Sullivan, IN.

Survivors include his husband Douglas, his brothers and sisters in law David & Marilyn Turner and Dennis & Regina Turner; along with many friends, co-workers, and extended family members who will remember him in their own special ways.

A celebration of Terry’s life will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026 at the McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson, MO from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with Joe Rowley officiating.

A private family inurnment will take place on a later date.

In lieu of flowers, Terry’s family has requested that donations be make to the American Cancer Society and the Humane Society of Missouri.
