Terry G. "Cajun" Parrott, 63, of Cape Girardeau, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at Ste. Genevieve Memorial Hospital in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri.
He was born March 11, 1952, in Cairo, Illinois, to Franklin Gerald and Eva Graves Parrott. He and Wilma Amplayo were married April 25, 2009, in Cebu, Philipines.
Terry was a 1970 graduate of Cairo High School where he was active in band. He then attended Shawnee Community College.
He worked over 25 years as a truck driver for Gilster Mary Lee and was a master diver affiliated with PADI. Between his interest in diving, Harley Davidson motorcycles, and being an OTR trucker, he was well traveled. He also enjoyed turkey hunting, fishing of all kinds, and was a lifetime member of the Harley Owner Group.
Loving survivors include his wife, Wilma of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Cassandra Parrott of Benton; adopted daughter, Faye Glendale of Cebu, Philipines; a sister, Judy (Ron) Cerney of Plano, Texas; a brother, Rob (Tonya) Parrott of Paducah, Kentucky and their sons, Logan (Stephanie) Parrott and Tyler Parrott; and extended family, Marcus Gross of Cape Girardeau.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 8, 2015, from 9:30 AM to service time, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson.
The funeral will be Wednesday, at 11 AM, at the church, with Deacon Walt Biri officiating.
Burial will follow at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Nursing Home Ministry of Immaculate Conceptuion Catholic Church.
