Truman "Tj" Barkley Jackson Sr.

Truman Barkley "TJ" Jackson Sr., 74, of Cape Girardeau passed away Saturday, January 27, 2024, at his residence. He was born January 31,1949, in Cape Girardeau, son of Claude L. and Edward "Eddie" Kennedy Jackson. He and Marlene Pulliam Golden were married June 3, 2017. TJ graduated high school in Paducah, Kentucky. He worked 25 years as an over-the-road truck driver. The past 20 years, he worked as a disc jockey for the VFW and was a self-employed computer technician. He was a member of the Cape Girardeau Eagles Club. He enjoyed vegetable gardening, karaoke, singing and dancing. Loving survivors include his wife, Marlene Jackson of Cape Girardeau; three sons Brian (Rachel) Jackson of Flint, Michigan; Wesley Littleton of Cape Girardeau; and Klay (Brandi) Jackson of Scott City; sister, Jacqueline Bowles of Liberty; two stepsons, Jeffrey (Maria) Golden and Scott (Wendy) Golden, both of Millersville. 14 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents; 10 siblings and a daughter, Tonya Dodd. Visitation will be Friday, February 2 from 12pm - 2 pm at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. Funeral will follow at 2PM, at the funeral home with the Rev. Joe McCullough officiating. Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson. Memorial contributions are suggested to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
