Velma Jolene Amelunke

Velma Jolene Amelunke, 82, of Whitewater, passed way on Monday, October 26, 2026. She was born on December 4, 1943, to the late Ed and Anna (Cook) Long in Mayfield Holler, MO.
She married the love of her life, Perry Lee Amelunke, on September 27, 1964, in Hurricane Fork General Baptist Church in Bollinger County, MO.
She was survived by her husband, Perry Amelunke; Daughters, Trenna (Ellis) Bradshaw, Tonya (Kent) Koch; Grandchildren, Brandon (Sara) Bradshaw, Clint (Mindy) Bradshaw, Logan (Derrick) Schlosser, and Colten (Mackenzie) Koch; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Calvin Arnold, Bud Armstrong, and Jerry Hester; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Amelunke, and Kathy Bellew.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Anna Long; 5 sisters and 1 brother; 3 sisters-in-law, and 3 brothers-in-law.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson, with funeral service following at 11:00 am with Rev. Chris Vaught officiating.
Burial will be at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson, MO.
