Virginia Lee (Slinkard) Hutson

Virginia Lee Hutson, 93, of Jackson, Missouri passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at the Lutheran Home.

She was born April 28, 1928, in Burfordville, Missouri daughter of Arbon and Opal Rhodes Slinkard. She and Robert Odney “Bob” Hutson were married April 27, 1949.They were married 56 years when he passed away July 11, 2005.

Loving survivors include a son, Paul Hutson, daughter-in-law (the late David) Jackie Hutson and a grandson Duston Hutson all of Jackson.

Also surviving are two sisters Lavern Hobeck, Chester, Illinois, Sylvia (David) Crites of Sedgewickville, Missouri and a sister-in-law Gladys Slinkard of Scott City, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a son, David Hutson also three brothers Jimmy, Victor, and Larry Slinkard and 2 sisters Virgie Turner and Diane Slinkard.

A private family visitation will be from 10:00 -11:00 AM on Monday, September 20 at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

A graveside service will follow at Russell Heights Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmie Corbin officiating.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to New McKendree United Methodist Church or Donor’s Charity of Choice.
