Wanda H. (Glenn) Renfro

Wanda Harolene Renfro, 91, of Cape Girardeau passed away Sunday, Sept 1, 2019 at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born August 16, 1928 near Dexter, MO, daughter of Nathan and Ida Mae (Dunn) Glenn. She and Bayne Renfro were married Nov. 22, 1954 in St. Louis, MO, he passed away Dec. 9, 1999.

Wanda was a devoted Christian her entire life was dedicated to serving her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a member of First General Baptist Church in Cape. She taught Sunday School, she started the children's church was the choir director she was the director for Vacation Bible School, participated in the Bible Study Fellowship and her last position was that of Official Prayer Warrior. In addition to her Church family she was a mother, grand-mother, great-grand-mother and great-great-grand-mother and a wonderful caregiver.

Loving survivors include three daughters, Glenna Pierce of Cape, Michelle Halter (Michael) of Cape and Cynthia Brennemann (Steve) of Bellville, IL.

Also surviving are six grandchildren, Heather Pierce-Cutright, Sean Pierce, Danielle Gaskill, Nathaniel Halter, Caitlin and Christianne Brennemann; six great-grandchildren, Cambry Pierce, Camden Pierce, Carley Ellis, Skylar Pierce, Robert Gregory and Guineviere Gaskill; three great-greatgrandchildren, Cedar Halbert, Henry Ellis and Ava Duncan, with another great-grandchild due soon; and beloved sisters-brothers-in-law.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bayne; three brothers, Ray, Russell and Henry Glenn; and a sister, Vera Glenn.

Visitation will be from 11 AM to service time, Friday, September 6, 2019, at the First General Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be at 1 PM, Friday, September 6, 2019, at the church, with the Rev. Sam Ramdial officiating.  Interment will follow in Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to First General Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.
