Wayne Alfred Fritsche

Wayne Alfred Fritsche, age 72, of Shawneetown, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018 with his three children at his side.

He was born February 28, 1946, in Perryville, Missouri, son of Alfred E. and Amanda G. Lohmann Fritsche.

Wayne was baptized and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar, Missouri and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Shawneetown.  He worked over 35 years at Shawneetown Feed and Seed, retiring in 2012.  Wayne enjoyed farming, fishing, collecting antique toy tractors and attending tractor shows, however, he most enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Loving survivors include three children, Kim (Neal) Dost of Shawneetown, Amy (Steve) Robinson and Scott (Leslie) Fritsche of Jackson; four grandchildren, Aaron and Austin Dost, Alexis Ruch and Devin Austin; four sisters, Ardyth (Leon) Mueller, Edyth (Elbert) Roth both of Farrar, Melba (Calvin) Versemann of O’Fallon, Missouri and Sandy (Ed) Schilling of Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, April 29, 208 at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson and from 10 a.m. until service time on Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Shawneetown. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church.

Interment will follow in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Shawneetown
