Wayne Myers, 84, of O'Fallon, Missouri, died Saturday, November 25, 2017.
He was born September 29, 1933, to Jasper and Maude Conrad Myers. He and Gertrude Eakins were married January 31, 1953, in Marble Hill, Missouri. Four daughters were born to their union, and they had been married 49 years when Gertrude passed away November 5, 2002.
Wayne was a welder in the manufacturing industry, working for Combustion Engineering and later O'Fallon Casting.
He was a member of Masonic Lodge #80 in Bridgeton, Missouri, and enjoyed junking as a hobby. With a smile everyone loved, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was dearly loved and will be immensely missed by all who knew him.
Loving survivors include three daughters, Mary (Mike) Ladd, Betty (Denny) Lambert, and Donna Kruse; six grandchildren, Jennifer (Jeff) Morgan, Chris Ladd, Sarah Lambert, Ben Lambert, Christel Coleman, Donald (Dana) Kruse; 13 great-grandchildren; two siblings, Janet (Wilbur) Humes and Benny (Brenda) Myers; and his beloved pet, Josie.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Myers; a grandson, Dale Kruse; a brother, Bob Myers; and a sister, Gerry Friedrich.
Visitation is Thursday, November 30, 2017, from 11 a.m. to service time, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral is Thursday, November 30, 2017, at 1 p.m., at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jimmie Corbin officiating. Burial will follow at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Memorials may be made to the family to assist with final expenses.
