Wesley Kyle Manuel, age 49, of Jackson, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 6, 2026, surrounded by loving family, at Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Born on June 29, 1976, in Rolla, Missouri, he was the son of Oliver K. and Caroline A. Howk Manuel.
Kyle was a beloved son and brother, known for his witty humor, infectious snickering laughter, heartfelt bear hugs and his passion for music.
He graduated from Rolla High School and attended Truman State University and Missouri University of Science and Technology, studying sociology and psychology. He also honorably served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his mother, Caroline Manuel; brothers, Oliver K. Manuel, Jr. and James D. Rosenburg; sisters, Sirikka R. Hoerig and Hope B. Shea; his aunts, Linda Gibbons, Brenda Grable, an adopted aunt, Tammy Mueller; and many dear nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father and his brother N. Kumar Manuel.
To celebrate his life, the family invites friends to a casual memorial gathering from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, April 13, 2026, at Don Carlos Restaurant, 1903 East Jackson Blvd., in Jackson. Tacos and dessert will be served.
A second life celebration in Rolla will be announced later.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Missouri Mental Health Foundation or Disabled Veterans.
