Zelma Bennett

October 13, 1930 — April 2, 2007

Zelma Bennett, 86, of Franklin, Tennessee and formerly of Jackson, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2017 in Franklin.

She was born October 13, 1930 in Parma, MO, daughter of Arthur and Tealy Mae Eaton Nolan. She and John Thomas Bennett were married April 22, 1956. She and John celebrated over 50 years of marriage when he passed away April 2, 2007.

Zelma was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and attended the Franklin, TN ward congregation.

Loving survivors include two sons, Gordon Bennett and wife Michelle of Franklin, TN and Robert Bennett and wife Ginger of Apex, NC; eight grandchildren, Brian, Whitney, Craig, Hannah, Spencer, Chelsea, Alex and Morgan; nine great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her daughter Shauna Bennett on October 13, 2016; a brother, Robert "Bob" Nolan; and four sisters Roxie Humphrey, Willie Greer, Ilean Farrow and Florence Farrow.

Viewing will be Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel, 1048 West Cape Rock Dr. in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. at the church.

Interment will follow in McLain's Chapel Cemetery near Oriole, MO.
