Anna Marie Hickam, 87, of Cape Girardeau passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at LifeCare Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born August 15, 1932, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Edward E. and Olga Sperling Kasten.
Anna was a life-long member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau, where she was baptized and confirmed. She enjoyed volunteering at several activities at the church. Anna worked for J.C. Penney Company, retiring in 2000, after 24 years. She also enjoyed flower gardening, quilting, and spending time with her family and friends.
Loving survivors include three children, Beverly Hickam of Cape Girardeau, Danny Hickam of Bloomsdale, Missouri, and Nancy Karg of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Jerry (Ruth) Kasten of Cape Girardeau, and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn (Wade) Blair, and a brother, Eugene (Joan) Kasten.
The visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2020, at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau and from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020, at Trinity Lutheran Church. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, at the church. Interment will follow in Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to Trinity Lutheran Church (General Fund) in Cape Girardeau.
