Carol JoAnn Golden, 73, of Cape Girardeau passed away Sunday, October 7, 2018 at her home.
She was born December 29, 1944, in Jacksonville, Florida, daughter of A J and Ruby Marlen Cora. She and Jerry Wayne Golden were married April 9, 1974 in Tijuana, Mexico. He passed away Feb. 7, 2010.
Carol was a graduate of Cape Central High School. She and Jerry lived in California for a number of years and returned to Jackson in 1988. Carol worked as a cook at Jackson Manor and she and Jerry also worked as custodians at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson and Cape Girardeau.
Loving survivors include a son, Greg Cotner of California; two daughters, Laura (Bill) Moore of New Wells and Tammy Gant of Cape Girardeau; a step son, Jerry (Leslie) Golden of Jackson; a step-daughter, Michele (Dan) Klein of DuQuoin, Illinois; nine grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, a son, Jeff Cotner, and two brothers, Terry and Jerry Cora.
The memorial visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
