Chris (Allgood) Welland

Chris Welland, 74, of Cape Girardeau passed away Friday, November 10, 2023 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Chris was born Mary Christine Allgood on January 10, 1949 to the late John and Rosemary Hohler Allgood.  She married Randy Welland on May 28, 1995 in Cape.

Chris was a gifted designer and an avid gardener. She worked for several years at Dr. Edwin Noffel Orthodontics practice, helping to straighten thousands of smiles.  She retired from St. Francis Medical Center working in the environmental services department.

Known as Tissy to her family, Chris was a devoted and loving mother of four, grandmother of nine and great-grandmother of two. She will be missed by each of them.

Chris is survived by her husband Randy Welland, daughter Lori Kirn and her daughters Taylor and Madison Kirn, son Greg Seesing and his boys Mason, Blake and Jack Henry Seesing, son Jeff Seesing and Christopher Cervantes, daughter Sara and Richard Sizemore and their children Luke, Lacey, Jake and Caitlin, a stepson Shawn Welland and two great-grandchildren Kayden Kirn and Khyson Rice, along with her sisters, Cathy (John) Blackwell and Janice (Brad) Wagner and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation will take place at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau on Friday, November 24, 2023 from 10 am to 12 noon.
