Daniel David Mueller, 77, of Cape Girardeau passed away Saturday, May 9, 2020, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
Daniel was born June 5, 1942, in St. Louis to Martin and Lydia Mueller. He and Nancy Haynie were married Feb. 25, 1984.
He graduated from Lutheran South High School in 1960 and then served in the U.S. Army. After his honorable discharge, he worked 30 years with Xerox before retiring. He was member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Dan had an appreciation of the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially golf. He was passionate in his love for his family.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Mueller; two sons; Matthew (Tammy) Mueller and Nathan (Traci) Mueller; two brothers, Leslie (Evve) Mueller of Wildwood, Missouri, and Marc (Missy) Mueller of Denver, Colorado; and five grandchildren, Luke, Lane, Laurel, Austin and Ashlyn.
Services will be Friday, May 15, 2020, at Good Shepard Lutheran Church, with visitation at 9 a.m. and memorial service at 11 a.m. Pastor Weston Wildauer will officiate.
Committal and military honors will be at 1 p.m., Friday, May 15, 2020, at New Hope Cemetery in McGee, Missouri aka McGee New Hope Cemetery near Puxico, Missouri (Wayne County) with Rev. Keith Price officiating.
The family requests memorials be given to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or Saxony Lutheran High School.
