Delma Weiss Obituary

Delma Dean Weiss, 81, of Gordonville, passed away peacefully with family by her side, Saturday, March 23, 2024, at her home.

She was born August 31, 1942, in Cape Girardeau to Oscar LeRoy "Pete" & Verna "Hazel" (Duncan) Goehman. She married Thomas Albert Weiss March 27, 1961, in Cape Girardeau.

Delma was a 1961 graduate of Jackson High School. She was a commercial seamstress until she retired. Tom & Delma enjoyed traveling in their motorhomes. They were volunteers at the Lakeland, Florida Air Show for many years. They made annual trips to the World of Outlaw Sprint Car Nationals in Knoxville, Iowa and attended a Sturgis Rally in Sturgis, South Dakota. Delma enjoyed designing, sewing, selling and gifting Barbie doll clothes at craft shows. She loved spending time with and spoiling her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Delma was an extraordinary mom to her children and mama to her grandchildren, and recently, great-grandchildren. Her family is left with fond memories that she created.

Loving survivors include her daughter, Tamela Ann Weiss Jones of Gordonville and son, Clint Allen (Anamaria) Weiss of Jesup, Georgia; grandchildren, Lacey Jo (Justin) Fields, Kara Lynn Weiss-Davis, Clint Allen Weiss Jr., Anthony Thomas Weiss; great-grandson, Easton Blake Davis and great-granddaughter, Isabella Dawn Fields, brother, William (Gene (Suzanne) Goehman of Paducah, KY; sister-in-law Susan (Edgar) Ailor of Columbia, Missouri; brother-in-law, Randy (Rosie) Weiss of Saint Louis, Missouri;
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her sister, Barbara Jean Goehman; brothers, Oscar Eugene Goehman, Robert Joe "Bob" Goehman, Ernest LeRoy "Buck" Goehman, Otto Ray Goehman and in-laws, Herman Henry Weiss and Pauline "Marie" Weiss.

To honor Delma's wishes, there will be no public memorial visitation or service. A family celebration of her life will happen at a later date.

If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
