Doug Koch, 64, of Jackson, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021, due to a massive heart attack.
He was born February 10, 1957, in Cape Girardeau, to Kenneth F. and Betty L. Peel Koch. He and Michelle Everly were married September 16, 2000.
Doug attended Jackson High School. He worked many years in residential construction for several local contractors. He was a former member of the Elks Lodge in Jackson. Doug enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and hunting arrowheads. He was a fan of Cardinal Baseball and NASCAR.
Doug’s loving survivors include his wife of 20 years, Michelle Everly Koch and their daughter Brittany of Jackson; seven siblings: Danny (Rose) Koch of Silva, Missouri; David (Teresa) Koch, Dennis (KiKi) Koch, Chris (Susan) Koch, Chuck (Cynda) Koch, Linda (the late Frank) Monroe, Amy Moore, all of Jackson; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Michelle’s surviving family includes her father, Leon Everly of Jackson; three brothers, Conrad (Tammy) Everly of Shelbyville, Kentucky; Mike Everly and Brad Everly of Jackson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two siblings, Donald Koch and Debbie Koch; and his mother-in-law, Gwen Everly.
Arrangements are Saturday, April 3, 2021, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center, with visitation at 11 a.m.; funeral at 1 p.m. with Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiating; and burial at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
