Earl W. "Corky" Reisenbichler Obituary

Earl W. “Corky” Reisenbichler, 89, of Pocahontas, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born April 20, 1932, in Pocahontas, to William A. and Esther E. Fuehler Reisenbichler.  He was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church in Pocahontas.

Corky was a graduate of Jackson High School.  He served honorably in the U.S. Army, from October 2, 1952 to July 20, 1954, during the Korean War.

Corky and Margie Statler were married February 3, 1956, at First Baptist Church in Jackson.  Five children were born to their union, Teri, Marica, Kenyon “Josh”, Gayla, and Julie.

Corky was a bricklayer by trade, and was a member of Bricklayers Local 23 and the Mason Contractor Association.

Corky tended his garden daily, and together, with his son, continued to work the family’s century farm.  He especially enjoyed watching the sporting events of his grandchildren.

Loving survivors include his wife of 65 years, Margie Reisenbichler of Pocahontas; five children, Teri (John) Schoen, Marica (Richard) Eggers, Gayla (Bill) Brucker, and Kenyon “Josh” (Mary) Reisenbichler all of Jackson, Julie (Lynn) Fritsche of Farrar, Missouri; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Harriet Drusch.

He was preceded in death by three siblings: his twin sister, Earline De Los Santos, Clinton Reisenbichler, and June Landgraf.

Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson, and from 9 a.m. to service time, Thursday, July 15, 2021, at Zion Lutheran Church in Pocahontas.
