Eula Mae McSpadden, 95, of Jackson, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2020, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born June 5, 1925, in Ash Flat, Arkansas daughter of Theodore Forrest “Doc” Martin and Alta Fern Bigger Martin. She and Harley McSpadden were married March 8, 1942, in Van Buren, Missouri. They had been married 67 years when Harley passed away October 9, 2010.
Eula and Harley were former members of the Burfordville Baptist Church. They later became members of First Baptist Church in Jackson where she taught an adult Sunday school class. Eula also worked as a beautician for over fifty years.
Survivors include her daughter, Gwendolyn (Dewey) Nussbaum of Jackson; two grandsons, Kevin Paul (Jeannine) Nussbaum of St. Louis and Stephen Douglas Nussbaum of Marion, Illinois; one granddaughter, Katina Marie (Aaron) Hankins of Wildwood, Missouri; five great-grandchildren Jacob, Ashley, and Autumn Nussbaum, and Cameron and Haley Hankins; a great great grandson, Harrison; and a sister Jackie Carpenter of Bentonville, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her husband and three siblings.
Friends may call from 11:30 am to 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
Funeral service will be at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tim Miller officiating.
Interment will follow at 3 p.m., at Dry Valley Cemetery near Van Buren, where Eula will be laid to rest next to Harley.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to the First Baptist Church in Jackson and the Lutheran Home.
