Everette “Red” Estes, Jr. 91, of Cape Girardeau passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape.
He was born August 5, 1927 in Cape Girardeau, a son of the late Ransom and Lula (Roe) Estes.
Red was in the Army during the Korean war and upon returning he worked at Harris Motor Car Co. before joining the crew at P&G where he retired after 18 years of service. He was the past Worshipful Master for the St. Marks Masonic Lodge #93 of Cape and an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan as well as a dedicated fisherman.
Loving survivors include his two sons Stephen and wife Patricia Estes of Jackson and Samuel and wife Brenda Estes of Cape Girardeau.
Also surviving are seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may Friday, June 8 from 4 – 8 pm at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral service will be Saturday, at 10:00 am at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Anderson officiating.
Interment will follow in Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, with full military honors.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to The Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
