Ray Shock, 83, of Jackson passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022 at St Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Ray was born July 2, 1938 in Austin, AR to the late Clarence and Beatrice Burns Shock. He and Nancy White were married at Lynnwood Baptist Church in Cape on July 9, 1992.
Ray graduated from Cabot High School in Cabot, AR and began his career in the construction material field working for several companies before retiring in 2006 from Atlas Roofing Corporation. He was a dedicated father, grandfather, and a true friend to those who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Nancy, two daughters Beth (Daniel Cox) Shock of Jackson and Pam Alston of Little Rock, AR, four grandchildren, Jackson Shock, Norah Wade, Jason (Andrea) Robles and Ryan (Teresa) Beyersdorff.
Ray is also survived by four great-grandchildren Elliot and Sara Robles and Samantha and Charles Beyersdorff as well as his faithful companion Ozzie the miniature golden doodle.
A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5 - 7 pm at the McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
A private family burial will take place at a later date at the Apple Hill Cemetery in Beebee, AR.
