Frances Dellene (Stayton) Wolfe, born in Alton, Illinois, went to be with Jesus April 21, 2022. After graduating from East Alton Wood River High School in Wood River, Illinois, Frances moved to Wisconsin and then Michigan, living in the Upper Peninsula of that area for most her life. She recently moved to Missouri to be closer to family.
Frances was an outdoor enthusiast and loved hunting and fishing. She scored several
trophy deer and elk, as well as turkeys.
Frances was a long-time member of West Side Assembly of God Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan. One of her joys in church was participating in her Sunday School Bible class.
Frances had a heart of gold, supporting numerous charities and outreaches throughout her lifetime. She did not hesitate to lend a helping hand as much as possible and was always an eager gift giver. She loved others very deeply and will truly be missed. Her company was a gift of life that many enjoyed, and heaven has gained. She is already missed greatly by those left behind.
Loving survivors include two sisters, Barbara Stayton-Eaves (Terry) and Jani Stayton-Williams
(Alan) of Missouri; three nieces, Teresa Gaikema (Tim), Ursulla Wadley (Doug), Katrina Campbell (Jeff); a nephew, Nathaniel Reid (Lee Lee); 11 great-nieces and nephews; a great-great niece and a great-great nephew.
She was preceded in death by her father, Delmont Lowell Stayton and mother, Frances Stayton-Ferguson; an infant daughter, Connie Raydell; paternal grandparents Reverend L.L. Ferguson and Laura Gamer-Ferguson; maternal grandparents, John Nathaniel and Nellie Miller-Eudy; and her beloved longtime friend, Jack L. Benson.
