Hayden M. Scholl, 24, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at his home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born April 20, 1996, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Kevin and LaVanda Wills Scholl.
Hayden played basketball for Community Christian Academy in Barnhart and was a 2014 graduate of the academy. He studied Biomedical Technology at Jefferson County Community College and graduated with honors in 2018.
Hayden was employed as a Bio-Med Tech at St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was previously employed at H & R Alarms in Cape Girardeau and Quality Biomedical in Maryland Heights.
Hayden was a Christian and attended churches in Arnold, Jackson, and Cape Girardeau. He was an avid fan of Los Angeles Rams football. He liked to be outdoors and especially enjoyed kayaking, camping, and fishing. In February 2020, Hayden purchased his first home. This was his proudest accomplishment.
Loving survivors include his parents, Kevin and LaVanda Scholl of Arnold, and a sister, Madison Scholl of Cape Girardeau.
Paternal survivors include his grandparents, Paul and Leola Scholl of Jackson; uncle, Terry (Kara) Scholl of Jackson; aunt, Sharon (Jim) McMillan of Herrin, Illinois; and cousins, Erica (Clay) Rouse and Brendan Scholl.
Maternal survivors include his grandparents, Adrian (Naida) Wills of Millersville; uncle, David (Connie) Wills of Cape Girardeau; and cousins, Brian Leirer, Tammy (John) Bailiff, and Scott Leirer.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Sunday, May 3, 2020, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. Everyone is welcome. Guests are simply advised to practice social distancing and extend condolences through non-physical contact.
Funeral service is at 1 p.m., Sunday, May 3, 2020, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Don Estes officiating. Interment will follow at Caney Fork Cemetery near Oak Ridge.
Gifts and plants may be delivered to the funeral home between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., Saturday, May 2, 2020, or after 8:30 a.m., Sunday.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to Caney Fork Cemetery or charity of your choice.
