Jane Ann (Witherhead) Heuring

Jane Ann Heuring age 82, of Cape Girardeau passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021 while visiting her son in Anna, Illinois.
She was born July 17, 1939 in Ogdensburg, New York the daughter of Harold W. and Helen E. Truax Witherhead. She married Paul "Chub" Heuring September 23, 1961 in Morristown, New York.
Jane was a 1958 graduate of Morristown Central High School and later attended "The Hair School" in Albany, New York. After she and Paul married they relocated to Cape Girardeau. She became a mother of three children and after they were in school she went to work in the kitchen at Cape Central High School for ten years.
Jane was a member of New Beginnings Church in Anna. She enjoyed quilting for family and friends and loved her cat Gracie very much.
Loving survivors three children, Rob (Becky) Heuring of Anna, Illinois, Dana (Tom) Bray of Hernando, Mississippi, and Rhonda (the late David) Wadley of Cape Girardeau; grandchildren, Sean (Emily) Heuring, Hannah Heuring, Megan (Dakota) Penrod, Nicholas and Taylor Bray, Trey (Chloe) Wadley, Caleb (Cassidy) Wadley, and Eliza Wadley; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Elizabeth "Betty" Linson of N. Fort Myers, Florida and Nancy (Carl) Brown of Fort Myers, Florida; and a sister-in-law, Delores (the late Jim) Lynch of St. Charles, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years; her parents; a son-in-law, David Wadley; a grandson, Austin Wadley; two siblings, Pete Witherhead and Ruth Bogardus.
Visitation is Friday, November 12, 2021 from 4 to 7 p.m., at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral is Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with Lonnie Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
