Janice Cittadino Lovekamp age 73, of Jackson passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2020 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born December 23, 1946 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Sam “Toby” and Lucille Smith Cittadino. Janice and John Lovekamp married on October 15, 1977 in the parish of Saint Tammany Louisiana. She and her husband operated in the tow boat industry managing Jemco Towing. Janice was a member of the United Pentecostal church. She enjoyed writing, theater, horses, and traveling. She favorite pass time was spent with her grandchildren and her son.
Loving survivors include her son Jason Tobin (Angela) Selzer; step children, J. David (Cleta) Lovekamp and Robin (Scott) Mahnken, both of Springfield, Illinois; five grandchildren, Aaron (Emily) Dufrene of Buffalo, New York, Tegan Lovekamp and Tristen Lovekamp and Andrew John and Caroline Pearl Selzer all of Jackson.
Also surviving one brother James “Jake” P (Mary Alice) Cittadino and one sister Debbie Louise Cittadino (Nathaniel Sr) Kahl.
Janice was preceded in death by her husband a John Lovekamp after 33 years of marriage, and by her parents Sam “Toby” and Lucille Smith Cittadino; three brothers, Raymond Cittadino, Ronald C. Cittadino, Sam Raymond Cittadino III; and a sister Nancy Cittadino Biessmiere.
In Lieu of flowers we are asking for donations to pay for funeral expenses if anyone wants to give in addition for scholarships for grandchildren Andrew and Caroline. T
A graveside service will be held at a later date in Carriere, Mississippi.
