Jasper Wilson Masterson, 84, of Cape Girardeau and formerly of Jackson passed away Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born May 27, 1936 in Oak Ridge the son Joe W. and Mae Marie Sample Masterson.
Jasper was a 1954 graduate of Oak Ridge High School. He attended college for a year; then entered the United States Navy in 1956 and was honorably discharged in 1960. After returning from his military service Jasper drove a milk truck for Seal Test for several years. In 1969 he started a career with Procter and Gamble where he worked 29 years and became the warehouse manager.
Jasper is survived by two sons, David Masterson and Steven Masterson both of Jackson; and two grandchildren, Steven Richard and Mae Marie Masterson.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two daughters Debra and Cheryl Masterson; and a sister, Janet McMasters.
A memorial visitation will be held Thursday, October 29, 2020 from 10:30am until service time at Shawnee Hills Baptist Church in Jackson.
Memorial service will start at 11am at the church with Rev. Don Estes officiating.
