BRANSON: On Monday, February 15, 2021, John Raymond Hale, formerly of Jackson, passed away unexpectedly due to a heart attack, at Cox Medical Center in Branson, Missouri.
He was born October 23, 1951 in Charleston, Missouri, to John F. and Wilma Butler Hale. He and Sharon Tidwell were married July 22, l972 at the United Methodist Church in Whitewater, Missouri.
John was a l972 graduate of Delta High School. He worked many years as a heavy equipment operator, retiring from the Cape County Highway Department in 2011.
He was a member of Grace Full Gospel Church in Advance, Missouri. He was a commander in the Royal Rangers group in many of the local churches and worked with youth his whole life. After retirement, he and Sharon enjoyed their R.V. and campground living.
Loving survivors include his wife, Sharon Hale of Springfield, Missouri; a sister, Virginia (Paul) Blaylock of Jackson, Missouri; a brother, David Ray Hale of Cape Girardeau; a dear friend, Linda Gillis of Salem, Missouri; five loving nieces: Beth Ann Bollinger of Jackson, Missouri, Angela Hale of Herrin, Illinois, Shanna Hawn of Salem, Missouri; Christy Gillis of Cuba, Missouri; Sara Blaylock of Dayton, Ohio; four loving nephews: Paul Blaylock Jr. of Columbus, Ohio; David Tidwell of St. Louis, Missouri, Justin Tidwell of Springfield, Missouri; and Steven Tidwell of Longview, Texas; and eight great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Danny G. Hale, Randy L. Hale, and Jeff Hale.
Visitation is Sunday, February 21, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. and the funeral service is at 1:30 p.m. at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson, Missouri. The Revs. J.D. Smith and Joy Shirrell will officiate the service. Burial is private at Fairview Cemetery at a later date.
John cherished his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
