The family of Juanita May Niswonger invites friends to a memorial visitation from 4 to 7:30 p.m., Friday, August 6, 2021, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. A brief memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m., with the Rev. Randy Riley officiating. The family asks that all unvaccinated guests please wear face masks.
Juanita, passed away March 11, 2021, and was privately laid to rest next to her husband, Dallas, at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
She was born September 4, 1934, in Oak Ridge, to Charles B. and Grace M. Moore Criddle.
She and Dallas Niswonger were married July 2, 1951, in Oak Ridge. They had been married 55 years when Dallas passed away July 27, 2006.
Juanita worked at the former Florsheim Shoe Factory in Cape Girardeau after 37 years of service she retired in 1988. She enjoyed doing puzzles and crocheting. In addition Juanita was also an avid seamstress. She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church in Jackson.
Loving survivors include three sons, Lynn(Janie) Niswonger of Ocala, Florida, Don (Judy) Niswonger of Jackson, and Robert(Julie) Niswonger of Ocala, Florida; seven grandchildren, Laura (Brian) Arthur,Amy (Rich) Lucy, Nicole Parker, Michelle (Jen) Sims, and David (Iris), Geoffrey (Mira), and Jared (Jamie) Niswonger; 12 great·grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and one sister Dorothy Taylor of Lynchburg, Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two brothers, Charles W. "Bill" Criddle and David Lee Criddle.
