Kermit W. Gerhardt, II Obituary

Kermit William Gerhardt II, 77, of Jackson, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2020, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born August 15, 1943, in Cape Girardeau, to Kermit William and Ernestine Miller Gerhardt I.  He and Cheryl Welter Stovall were married June 27, 1999, at La Croix Church in Cape Girardeau.

Kermit was a 1961 graduate of Cape Central High School and a graduate of the former Brown’s Business College in Cape Girardeau.

He was employed in retail appliance sales at Siemer's Best Brand Plus in uptown Jackson and previously worked 15 years at the former Curtis Mathis in Cape Girardeau.  Kermit had a knack for remembering names and was always knowlegable about his products.  Clients appreciated his unique way of asking questions to help them determine which appliance best suited their needs.

He and Cheryl were faithful in attending church at La Croix Church and Kermit especially enjoyed volunteering in the children’s ministry.
