Kevin L. Bohnert, 58, of Earle, Arkansas, formerly of Cape Girardeau, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2022, near Whitewater, Missouri.
Kevin was born June 24, 1963, in Cape Girardeau, to Lloyd and Shirley Ackman Bohnert. He and Kathy Needham were married April 21, 2017, in Marion, Arkansas.
Kevin served honorably in the U.S. Navy from August 11, 1981 to July 15, 1986 and then served honorably in the Navy Reserve.
Kevin worked for 28 years for McNeely Charter Service in West Memphis, Arkansas. He was a member of the American Legion, the VFW, and the Cowboy Church in Wynne, Arkansas.
In addition to his wife, Kathy Bohnert of Earle, Arkansas, he is survived by his mother, Shirley (the late Lloyd) Bohnert of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Paul (Karen) Bohnert of Cape Girardeau; three children, Logan, Jonathan, and Gabrielle Bohnert, all of Earle; two step-children, Monica (Michael) Notgrass and children Conner and Colin, and Andrew (Mindy) Clark and their son James, all of Proctor, Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews.
Kevin is preceded in death by his father, and a son, Nicholas Bohnert; a step-granddaughter, “Kat” Parnell.
McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau was entrusted with Kevin’s cremation arrangements. There are no formal services.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
