Laura Lee Taber, 58, passed away Friday, September 23, 2022, at her home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born February 25, 1964, in St. Charles, Missouri, to Edward and Margaret Shell. She and Jack Taber were married September 17, 2005, at the Cape County Park in Cape Girardeau.
Laura’s greatest pleasure was being with loved ones – traveling and site-seeing with her husband, Jack, playing Bingo with her best friend Pam, and above all, spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Loving survivors include her husband of 17 years, Jack Taber of Cape Girardeau; a brother, B. J. (Amy) Shell of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida; children, Dean Best, Jessica (Cody) Kinder, and Blake (Shealee) Best, all of Cape Girardeau; step-children, Mark (Lori) Taber and Patricia (Chris) Murphy, both of Harrisburg, Illinois, and Michael (Kara) Taber of Eddyville, Illinois; several grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Lisa Poston.
To celebrate Laura’s life, a casual gathering will be held from 2 to 6 p.m., Saturday, October 1, 2022, at the Cape VFW in Cape Girardeau.
