Marvalyn Obermiller, 90, of Jackson passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at her home.
She was born May 15, 1931, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Albert and Lula Fassel Holschen. She and Jesse E. Obermiller were married July 27, 1950. He passed away Aug. 16, 2016.
For over 30 years, Marvalyn and Jesse worked together at their family owned -business, Travelers Garage and Gas, in Cape Girardeau. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She treasured spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Loving survivors include three children, Glenda Bridges of Jackson, Michael Obermiller of Jackson, and Frederick Obermiller of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren, Christina Puckett and Lisa Sanchez of Jackson, and David Obermiller of Fresno, California; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, June 21, 2021 at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
Funeral will be Monday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Elijah Allen officiating.
Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association.
