Mary Dale “Pete” Fronabarger, 95, formerly of Oak Ridge, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, where she had been a resident for several years.
She was born January 11, 1926, in Millersville, daughter of Samuel D. and Allyne Wise Jones. She and Glenn Wilson Fronabarger were married April 25, 1947 in Jackson. He passed away October 9, 2004.
Mary and Glenn had been members of First Baptist Church in Oak Ridge all of their married life. She worked many years at the Jackson Hosiery Mill, and worked in the cafeteria at Oak Ridge School for many years.
Loving survivors include a son, Glenn Wayne (Marilyn) Fronabarger of Oak Ridge; two grandchildren, Darin (Jessica) Fronabarger and Kelly (Jonathan) Tucker of Oak Ridge; three great grandchildren, Preston and Josie Fronabarger and Alyss Tucker; three brothers, J.W. (the late Mary) Jones, of Jackson, Tom (the late Vanita) Jones of Fruitland, and Michael Jones of Kansas City, Missouri; three sisters, Hazel (the late Eugene) Seabaugh of Jackson, Betty (Melvin) Riehn of Millersville and Dean (the late Lyman ) Craft of Millersville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Fronabarger and a sister, Helen Haupt.
Visitation will be from 4 – 7 p.m. Saturday, March 20, 2021 at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 21, 2021 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Cody Fleenor officiating.
Interment will follow in Goshen Cemetery in Oak Ridge.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to Oak Ridge Baptist Church.
