Mary Sue Mansker, 76, of Jackson, passed away Friday, March 13, 2020, at her home in Jackson.
She was born April 21, 1943, in Cape Girardeau County, to Fred and Cora Sperling Kasten. She and Harold Gene Mansker were married March 19, 1966. Three sons were born to their union. They had been married nearly 37 years when Harold Gene passed away July 15, 2003.
Mary was a graduate of Jackson High School. She worked at the former Schade’s Café in uptown Jackson; Jackson Hosiery Mill; retired from Thorngate after 30 years of service, and then worked over ten years at Jackson Manor Nursing Home.
She was a lifelong member of Emanuel United Church of Christ in Jackson.
Loving survivors include two sons, Vade (Cindy) Mansker and Darin Mansker of Jackson; three granddaughters, Alexis Hardesty, Natasha Aurich, and Kadasha Ritter; two grandsons, Josh Goza and Riley Mansker; 10 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Clinton (Jayne) Kasten of Maryland, Heights, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, David Mansker; and her parents.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral is at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 18, 2020, at the funeral home, with the Revs. Joe Rowley and Sam Roethemeyer officiating. Burial will follow at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
