Melva I. Leimbach, 90, of Pocahontas passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at the Monticello House in Jackson.
She was born September 23, 1930 near New Wells the daughter of Edward and Margareta Tiedemann Perr. She married Rudolf Benjamin Leimbach April 7, 1951 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in New Wells. He preceded her in death after just over 63 years of marriage on January 16, 2015.
Melva was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in New Wells. Her passion was for raising and caring for her family. She enjoyed gardening and attending to her flowers. She became a member of Zion Lutheran after her marriage to Rudolf.
Loving survivors include three children, Alice Proemsey of Hillsboro, Missouri, Keith (Debbie) Leimbach of Jackson, and Kevin (Vicki) Leimbach of Altenburg, Missouri; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law Kathleen (the late Richard) Leimbach.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a son Richard Leimbach; an infant daughter, Marlene Leimbach, her parents; two sisters, Rosa Enke and Nelda Palisch; and two brothers Wilbert and George Perr.
Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 am until time of service on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Zion Lutheran Church in Pocahontas.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 am at the church with Rev. Virgil Kelm officiating.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to Zion Lutheran Church.
