Nelda Jean Hamilton 82, of Jackson, passed away Monday, March 29, 2021, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born January 7, 1939, in Jackson, to Tony and Mabel Hahs Friese. She and Carl Hamilton were married March 31, 1979, in Millersville, Mo. They had been married 36 years when he passed away May 19, 2015.
Nelda was a member of Millersville United Methodist Church. She worked many years at Lenco in Jackson. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, and celebrating special occasions with her lifelong friends.
Loving survivors include Kirby (Clara) Friese of Jackson Mo., Jerry (Debby) Friese of Scott City, Missouri, seven nieces; five nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters, Verna Lee (Linus) Crites, Carolyn (Charlie) Daniel; and her parents.
Arrangements are Friday, April 2, 2021, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. Visitation is from 10 to 11 a.m. The Rev. Janet Hopkins will officiate the funeral at 11 a.m., and burial will follow at New Salem United Methodist Cemetery in Daisy, Missouri.
