Peggy A. Borgfield, 86, of Jackson, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2020, at her home.
She was born October 3, 1934, in Oak Ridge, to Clyde and Mildred Cobble Martin. She and Kenneth Borgfield were married June 7, 1953, in Oak Ridge.
Peggy was a graduate of Oak Ridge High School. She retired from K-mart.
She was a 67-year member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Fruitland; a member of Elks Auxiliary #2652 in Jackson; and for over 50 years, was a member of both the Eastern Star and the American Legion Auxiliary in Jackson.
Loving survivors include her husband of 67 years, Kenneth Borgfield of Jackson; a son, Steve (Carol) Borgfield of Jackson; two granddaughters Sara (Adam) Meyer and Ashley Borgfield, both of Jackson; four great-grandchildren, Hunter Borgfield, Adalynn Meyer, Zoey Schaffer all of Jackson, and Grant Meyer of Oak Ridge; four sisters JoElla Grieve, Bonnie (Larry) Wiseman, Paulette Stone, Carol Garrett; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceeded in death by her parents, and two daughters, Cindy Borgfield and Karen Vogelsang.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to service time, Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at the funeral home, with Dr. Rodney Pensel officiating. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery in Fruitland.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to St. John’s United Church of Christ Cemetery.
