Rebecca Susan (Dinkins) Hargrove

Rebecca Hargrove, 54, of Cape Girardeau passed away Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2020, at her residence.

Rebecca was born Oct., 18, 1966, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Dr. James Dinkins and Mary Alice Peeler Tullis.

Rebecca graduated from Cape Girardeau Central High School. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri and her master’s from Georgia State University in TESOL (Teaching English as a Second Language). Rebecca traveled extensively in her teaching career. She taught abroad for many years and also in Memphis for several years. 

Rebecca had an enduring love of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and is now resting in His loving arms.        

Loving survivors include her mother; a sister, Laura (Brian) Norman of Cape Girardeau; and five nieces and nephews, Caleb, Lillian, Joseph, Samuel and Elisha Norman.

She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Jonathan Dinkins.

A gathering of friends will take place fro m 10 a.m. to service time Saturday at Fruitland Community Church.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Mike Parry Officiating.
