Ronald Popp, 79, of Cape Girardeau, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at his residence in Saxony Village.
Ronald was born February 02, 1941 in Frohna, Missouri to the late Olaf and Wilma Fidler Popp. He and Mary Hinkle were married October 25, 1969 in Trinity Lutheran Cape Girardeau.
Ronald grew up on a farm and became a full time farmer just after 8th grade. After several years he went to work for Kasten Block and Brick in Jackson then Stovall Block and Brick in Cape before beginning a 33 year career with Trinity Lutheran School and Church as their custodian.
Loving survivors include his wife of 51 years Mary, a brother Larry (Laura) Muench of St. Charles, MO and a sister Sandra (Stanly) Kischzzak of St. Louis and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded by a brother Kenneth Popp and his wife Donna.
A Memorial service will be held on Friday, September 17, at 1 p.m. at the Saxony Village on the Lutheran Home Campus in the activity room on the first floor. The Rev. Douglas Breite officiating.
As per facility requirements, masks must be worn in the facility at all times.
Ronald was buried in Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery on January 16, 2021.
Memorials make take the form of contributions to Trinity Lutheran Church.
