Scott Carter Toll, 57, of Jackson passed away at The Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau after a long courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, October 3, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born January 4, 1964, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, son of Jack and Marilynne Anne Baker Toll. He and Lisa Stamp were married on January 27, 1990.
Scott was a Cape Central High School graduate and attended Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau. He worked in sales for Transelectric Inc, AT & T and Washington National Insurance. He had a great understanding of electronics and computers. If you knew him, you knew Scott had a sence of humor and that's how he faced his battle with cancer.
Loving survivors include his wife, Lisa of nearly 32 years of marriage, father, Jack (Marty) Toll of Mountain View, Missouri, a brother, Lee Toll of Jackson; seven sisters, Susan Crites of Jackson, Christy (Grady) Yount of Cape Girardeau, Jackie (Greg) Twidwell of Piedmont, Missouri, Patti (Ali) Raouf of Blue Springs, Missouri, Barb (Greg) Cagle of Jackson, Sandi (Chris) Essner of Cape Girardeau and Kiersa (Jerome) Dubinski of Columbia, Missouri.
Also surviving are mother and father - in - law Homer and Sue Stamp of Scott City, Missouri, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by mother, Marilynne Toll, a brother John E. Toll Jr., and his grandparents.
Visitation will be 9:00 AM until service time on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Fruitland.
An invitation is extended to family and friends to attend the service in honor of Scott. However, the family would like to encourage that everyone is to wear a mask and practice social distancing for the safety of all in attendance.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to American Cancer Society or charity of choice.
