Shirley Elizabeth (Scholz) Gregory, 84 of Crump, Missouri, was called home early Sunday morning November 19, 2023. She entered heaven peacefully, surrounded by loved ones at Chaffee Nursing
Center.
She was born September 14, 1939 to Marvin Eugene and Dorothy (Eakins) Scholz who proceeded her in
death.
She and Donald Gregory were married on October 15, 1953. He proceeded her in death August 11, 2022.
Shirley worked alongside her husband, Donald to run their company, Gregory's News Agency, and was a top-selling real estate agent for many years. She had a green thumb and loved having plants all around her. She also enjoyed cooking. Everybody always looked forward to her home-made rolls and chicken and dumplings.
She was of the Baptist Faith. She and her husband were charter members of Connection Point Church - formally First General Baptist Church of Jackson. She was currently a member of Bethlehem General Baptist Church in Crump.
Loving survivors include four daughters. Dianna (John) Stapleton of Crump, Duzy (Wayne) Wiedefeld of Burfordville, Tammy (Rohan) Francis-of Cape Girardeau and Karen (Ron) Obermann of Jackson. One honorary daughter, Debbie Little. 14 Grandchildren 30 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and one expected in May. One sister, Cathy Campbell. Sisters-in-law, Ida (Jerry) Givens and Glenda Gregory.
Beside her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, her sister Wanda
Phelps, brothers-in-law, David Gregory, Dennis Gregory, Richard Campbell, and Bill Phelps.
Visitation will be Friday, November 24, 2023, from 9:30 am until service time at Bethlehem General Baptist Church in Crump.
Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am the church, with Revs. Scott Cook and Joseph Allen officiating and assisted by John Stapleton. Burial will follow at Proffer Cemetery.
