Sidney Ray Dougan, 83, of Jackson, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2020 at his home in Jackson.
He was born February 4, 1937, in St. Louis, Missouri, son of Forrest and Lorraine Willis Dougan. He and Rosemary Hays were married January 6, 1962 in Cape Girardeau. She passed away November 24, 2016.
Sidney was a graduate of Cape Central High School; he then enlisted in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged. Sidney worked in refrigeration and appliance repair, working for Seimer’s Appliance, Southeast Appliance and later self - employed. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, was a fourth degree Knight with Bishop Timon Council 6405, a member of the Jackson Elks and American Legion all in Jackson.
Loving survivors include two sons, James Dougan of Farmington, Missouri and Michael Dougan of Jackson; two grandchildren, Tyler Dougan and Dylan Dougan; five siblings, Neal (Bernie) Dougan, David Dougan, Beverly (Dink) Clark, Sallie Rendleman and Mona Smith and a brother - in – law Jim (Helen) Hays.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years and his parents.
A service will be announced at a later date.
