Virginia Sides

Virginia Sides, age 90, of Jackson, passed away Friday, August 11, 2023 at the Monticello House in Jackson.

She was born October 30, 1932 in St. Louis, Missouri the daughter of Ora Ray Abernathy and Opal Morrison.

She was a graduate of Jackson High School. She then worked for the former Jackson Hosiery Mill, HWI for 19 years, Wille’s Bakery, and finished as a greeter at Jackson Wal Mart. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Loving survivors include her three children, Donna Wallenmeyer of Jackson, Michael (Tammy) Sides of Gordonville and Barabara Glueck of Jackson; four grandchildren, Sonja Ayala, Natalie (Michael) Waisanen, Johnathan (Nicole) Glueck, and Michael (Rachel) Sides; and 13 great grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a great grandson.

Visitation will be from 10-11 am Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Funeral Service will be at 11 am at the funeral home with Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiating.

Burial will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
