William H. “Bill” Fadler, 92, of Jackson passed away Thursday, June 25, 2020 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born March 6, 1928, in Patton, Missouri, son of William C. and Matilda H. Cook Fadler. He and Norma Jean Dolle were married August 15, 1947, she survives.
Bill worked as a school bus driver and a brick layer before going to work for Procter and Gamble where he retired in 1988. He enjoyed baseball, square dancing, playing horseshoes, fox hunting and camping. Bill and Norma were members of New Mckendree United Methodist church and were past members of Reagan’s Chapel Church and Patton Methodist Church. Bill was a charter member of Patton Saddle Club and The Kick-a-Bits Sqaure Dance Club.
Loving survivors include his wife Norma Jean of nearly 73 years of marriage; two sons, Billie Dwane (Jeannie) Fadler and Elwood “Woody” Fadler both of Jackson; one granddaughter, Nicole (Tyler) Stevens and their daughter Anderson.
Also surviving are two siblings, Charles (Judy) Fadler of Jackson and Norma (the late Bob) Davault of Granite City, Illinois and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and five sisters.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 28, 2020 from 12 PM until service time at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
Funeral service will be at 2PM at the funeral home with Rev. Jimmie Corbin officiating.
Interment will follow in Patton Methodist Cemetery in Patton.
The family suggests contributions be made to New McKendree United Methodist Church.
